AGMA and ABMA have united to form the Motion + Power Manufacturers Alliance โ advancing standards, education, advocacy, and industry growth for the power transmission community.
On April 24, 2025, at the Annual Meeting in Austin, TX, the membership of both associations voted to approve the merger of the American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) and the American Bearing Manufacturers Association (ABMA), creating the Motion + Power Manufacturers Alliance (MPMA). The new organizational structure commenced May 1, 2025.
AGMA and ABMA will continue operating under their historic names in the marketplace โ the 108-year-old AGMA brand and the 107-year-old ABMA brand carry deep value to their respective communities.
Under MPMA, the combined organization represents 322 member companies and delivers increased value through standards creation, robust education and workforce development, face-to-face industry events, two industry publications, and advocacy at the Federal level.
